The Happy Bookers
Kim Grant
Pam says "Let me write about Kim in the style of e.e. cummings":

kim
the perfect hostess
always a haute-couture fashion spread

she makes sure that
everyone feels like they've
arrived
at the swankiest shindig in town
and that they're the guest of honor
to boot!

a sassy redhead who smiles as she dances
bonds with those who revel in music

a bandida who is as smart as a whip
and never above liberating a twelve dollar music stand if the situation presents itself

an artist's instinct in
clothing
design
and throwing a party
and owns her own event and catering business

roots music feeds her soul
and she champions bands like
an alt.country joan of arc

there's nothing better than a friend
who's loyal, loving and knows her way around a wine list
plus i love her event planner gene which relentlessly compels her to wrap up all the loose ends
Pam Moore
I met Pam Moore late one night at a music club, where we argued about who was the biggest fan of the band onstage.  We ended up calling it a truce and becoming the best of friends.
Pam is a force of nature who commands a room and won’t take “no” for an answer.  If she has an idea she runs with it and takes it to fruition, which is how we ended up here, as The Happy Bookers.  When she runs with an idea, she usually takes me along for the ride!
She’s a lover of many things:  old-time instruments (especially banjos, and I’ve now lost count of all of her instruments), coffee, fishnet stockings, wine & cheese, flowers for the hair, parties, people, words, music and so much more.
Pam is a terrific writer and editor who can change one word and make the sentence 10 times better.  She is supportive of local music, a defender of her friendships, and a huge advocate of her friends’ music.  She’s also in several bands of her own:  Dime Box Band, Cheap Chick, The Neptunas, The Birdinumnums and her solo project, “Madame Pamita’s House of Wonders”, which is a truly magical sight to see.
A booker, a musician, a mother and able to make the party! I don’t know where she gets her energy, but I do know that I’m lucky to have a friend so talented and encouraging of other’s talent. And God Bless, a business partner, who keeps the ball rolling by constantly, thinking 10 steps ahead.
